Art On Istanbul is pleased to present “Balearic Constellations”, a solo exhibition by Fran Aniorte, opening on 6 June.
In “Balearic Constellations”, Fran Aniorte maps a poetic universe born from the encounter between art and craft, earth and light, matter and spirit. Each piece is conceived as a fragment of a larger constellation, a ceramic star carrying the memory of touch, fire, and transformation. Echoing the spontaneity and freedom of the Balearic landscape, Aniorte’s works evoke a distinctly Mediterranean state of mind, radiant, instinctive, and subtly surreal. In this territory, the legacy of Picasso and Miró is not approached as a reference but as a living energy, a celebration of the hand, of imperfection, and of the instant when creation becomes both play and revelation. Simple, elemental forms drawn from Mediterranean memory such as stars, celestial skies, birds, and organic presences like plants and seeds form the starting point of the series. These motifs unfold as a personal visual language rooted in landscape, imagination, and material intuition.
