Bawer Doganay, Hilal Can, Meliha Sözeri, Nurgül Gökçen, Özkan Işık, Rebuar Rezzak İlge 8 June – 20 July 2023 Art On Istanbul presents Crossroads 6, a group exhibition featuring works by Bawer Doğanay, Hilal Can, Meliha Sözeri, Nurgül Gökçen, Özkan Işık, and Rebuar Rezzak İlge, on view at the gallery’s Piyalepaşa space from June 8 to July 20.
Launched in parallel with Art On Istanbul’s founding mission, the Crossroads exhibition series is dedicated to supporting independent artistic practices, providing a platform for emerging voices while fostering dialogue. This sixth edition unfolds as a point of convergence, offering insight into the artists’ current propositions, their creative vitality, and their ongoing explorations.
Engaging with intersections of theory and practice, the exhibition reflects on art and its role, while emphasizing the value of coexistence in spite of differences.
Structured in two chapters, Crossroads 6 opens with works by Bawer Doğanay, Özkan Işık, and Hilal Can. The second part brings together the practices of Rebuar Rezzak İlge, Nurgül Gökçen, and Meliha Sözeri.
