Art On Istanbul meets its visitors with Oddviz's solo exhibition titled "Urban Artifacts" at
Art On Istanbul Piyalepaşa between January 18th and February 22nd.
Known for their exploration of memory spaces, the collective sheds light on the intricate narratives embedded in public spaces through their multilayered textures and human interventions with “Urban Artifacts”.
Oddviz investigates the stories carried by urban artifacts that shape the physical and cultural identity of cities. Often overlooked or endangered by the effects of gentrification, these elements bear traces of history and street culture. Using photogrammetry, the collective captures and reconstructs these objects in 3D, emphasizing their uniqueness and character. From worn facades to overlooked details, their works invite viewers to reflect on the balance between preservation and transformation, as well as the organic evolution of cities.
"Urban Artifacts" traces the delicate relationship between history and change in cities, offering viewers profound insights into the transformation of urban memory and identity.
