Olcay Kuş (b.1985) is an Istanbul- and Berlin-based artist whose practice explores metropolitan life and the dynamics of urban walls from social and anthropological perspectives. Working with materials such as spray paint, oil paint, newspaper, and stencils, he produces paintings, drawings, and sculptural works that reflect the improvised aesthetics of walls shaped by time and human interaction. His work often engages with themes of political violence and identity, using irony as a critical tool. Recent works, influenced by his move from Istanbul to Berlin, emphasize surface lightness, texture, and free compositional arrangements.
