Art On İstanbul bids farewell to its gallery space in Akaretler, where it has been active since 2011, with the group exhibition “Geçiş” (Transition). Preparing to continue its exhibitions and programs at its new address in Şişhane, Art On İstanbul frames the theme of this farewell exhibition as a punctuation mark on its journey in the neighborhood with all the artists it currently represents, while also offering viewers a chance to revisit the works they have seen over the past five years.
Since its inception, the gallery has aimed to create an interdisciplinary platform showcasing both emerging Turkish and international artists. It now continues on this path without pause, developing new programs and activities in its expanded and versatile new space.
The exhibition features works by Hüseyin Aksoylu, Ilgın Seymen, Murat Germen, Sencer Vardarman, Ulrich Erben, İskender Yediler, Kemal Seyhan, Renee Levi, Onur Mansız, and Tunca. Bringing together artists with distinct approaches within contemporary art discourse, the exhibition fosters an open-ended dialogue between different tendencies.
The exhibition will be open to the public throughout February, after which Art On İstanbul will welcome visitors to its gallery space in Şişhane starting in March.
