Art On İstanbul welcomes the summer season with the group exhibition Ebedi Yaz (Eternal Summer), featuring 24 artists. Following a necessary hiatus, the gallery presents works by multiple artists in different styles within a format reminiscent of salon exhibitions. The exhibition, with artworks displayed from floor to ceiling, offers visitors countless opportunities for comparison and connection. The show, on view from 16 June to 29 August 2020, includes works in sculpture, new media, photography, painting, and relief by artists from different generations.
Eternal Summer was conceived as a “meeting and solidarity” note to history during challenging times. Bringing together both established and emerging artists, as well as represented and non-represented artists under the Art On umbrella, the exhibition aims to foster close relationships between the viewer and the artworks by revealing multiple ways of seeing.
The title Eternal Summer emphasizes the reward of the summer season following a difficult winter and an unnoticed autumn. Throughout the summer, the exhibition will meet audiences both in the physical gallery space and online, reminding us that taking a moment to observe, keep the mind active, and learn remains meaningful even in times when uncertainties pervade every aspect of life.
