The group exhibition titled Cycle is a selection of works by Damla Sari, Koray Tokdemir,
Oddviz, Olcay Kuş, Onur Mansız, Ufuk Yılmaz, Ülgen Semerci. Cycle can
be visited at Art On Istanbul's venue in Tepebaşı until 17 June 2022.
The cycle can also be defined as a phenomenon where we find ourselves closer to
where we started as we get closer to the end. Artists gathered around this concept
position themselves intellectually closest to this point but physically farthest away. In
this context, cycle reveals both a tool that artists use to stop time and the silent disputel
they engage in with time itself. Artists play with the space of the beginning and
end perception and point to the viewer an unflowing moment where everyday images
remain constant. At the same time, they defend the relativity of time and underline
that the past and the future are parts of an inseparable whole.
