Eyüp Ataş (b. 1987, Kayseri) enrolled in the Painting Department of Erciyes University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2005. He graduated from this department in 2010 and moved to Istanbul in 2011. In Istanbul, he worked as an assistant in the studios of Devrim Erbil and Nezih Çavuşoğlu. He has held several solo exhibitions and participated in group shows.

Ataş’s works were described as “sensational” by the magazine Majestic Disorder, Culture & Arts, published in London in 2016, and featured on the cover. The artist places great importance on visiting museums abroad. In his paintings, he reconstructs the figure as new bodies undergoing mutation through objects, fragments, and compressed forms, while exploring their psychological dimensions.

In 2023, he completed his master’s degree at Yeditepe University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Plastic Arts and Painting, with a thesis titled Figurative Painting and Sculpture in the Post-Truth Era. He continues his practice at his studio in Istanbul.
