Hüseyin Aksoylu (b.1984, Artvin) is a painter whose practice examines the dynamics and causality inherent in humanity’s adaptation to nature and social structures. A graduate of Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department (2010), Aksoylu explores the tension between innate human instincts and the cognitive systems developed over time.
Reflecting on the limitations imposed by intellectual frameworks and cultural knowledge, he assigns new meanings to objects in his work, creating relationships among them or between them and himself. His use of a single chosen color allows these objects to transcend their conventional associations, fostering a freer, more flexible visual language. Within this system, he embraces his own perceptions and decisions—including moments of withdrawal or reconsideration—without fear of disappointment or error.
