Ekin Kano (b.1990) is a visual artist based between Istanbul and Berlin. She earned her MA in Visual Arts from Sabancı University and her BA from the Faculty of Art and Design at Yıldız Technical University, and also studied in the Fine Arts department of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. Kano’s practice explores the blurred boundaries between human and non-human bodies, questioning concepts of fluidity and materiality. In 2022, Otomy, a book she co-authored, received the Volumes Zurich Book Award. Kano is also a member of Hara Istanbul’s artistic board.
